Twitter Data Mining for the Diagnosis of Leaks in Drinking Water Distribution Networks

This article presents a methodology for using data from social networks, specifically Twitter, to diagnose leaks in drinking water distribution networks. The involves the collection of tweets citizens reporting leaks, extraction information tweets, and processing such run diagnosis. To demonstrate viability this methodology, 358 Twitter leak reports were collected analyzed Mexico City 1 May 31 December 2022. From these reports, density probability calculated, which are metrics that can be used develop forecasting algorithms, identify root causes, program repairs. calculated compared with those through telephone provided by SACMEX, entity manages City.
